Why is Sick the New Normal?
Weren't we made for more than managing symptoms?

š Look around.
Everyoneās tired. Bloated. Anxious. Irritable. Weāve normalized disease, dysfunction, and daily discomfortāand weāve stopped asking why.
But just because something is common doesnāt mean itās normal. And just because itās accepted doesnāt mean itās okay.
Weāve been conditioned to live in survival mode. To see prescriptions as solutions, caffeine as energy, and stress as just part of life. But this isnāt what God intended for the body He designed.
ā ļø Common Doesnāt Mean Normal
We live in a culture where:
š¬ Ultra-processed food is labeled āheart-healthyā
ā Coffee counts as breakfast
š And lifelong dependencies are marketed as healthcare
Instead of asking why we feel so off, weāre taught to manage symptoms and keep going. Fatigue? Just drink an energy drink. Bloating? Just ignore it. Mood swings? Hereās a diagnosis and a prescription.
But God didnāt create us for dysfunction. He created us for stewardship. And stewardship means listening to what the body is trying to say.
šØ Symptoms Are Signals
Your body isnāt brokenāitās communicating with you.
That bloating after every meal? Likely gut inflammation.
Recurring headaches? Thatās your detox pathways crying out.
Strong cravings? Blood sugar instability or micronutrient deficiency.
Crushing fatigue? Mitochondrial dysfunction, not just a ābusy life.ā
Most people silence the signals with pills, stimulants, or distraction. But healing starts when we learn to listen and respond.
𤯠When the Body Breaks Down, So Does Everything Else
When inflammation becomes your baseline, everything suffers:

š Your sleep becomes shallow and restless.
š Your prayer life, mood, and relationships all feel harder.
Physical disobedience leads to spiritual dullness. And thatās the part no one talks about.

Itās not normal to be 35 and feel 75.
Itās not normal to need energy drinks to get through the day.
Itās not normal to feel bloated, irritable, and exhausted every single day.
But the world has normalized these things because the world profits from your dysfunction. Thatās why we donāt follow cultural health trendsāwe return to biblical wisdom.
āļø Stewardship Isnāt Optional, Itās Obedience
You were bought with a price. You are not your own. You are called to glorify God in your body, not just your heart or your mind.
That starts with the basics:

Eat food God made

Move your body with intention
ā
Get outside in the morning
ā
Go to bed without a screen
ā
Read Scripture, not symptom checkers
Itās not glamorous, but itās effective. And itās faithful.
š„ We Donāt Need More Comfort. We Need Conviction.
If you keep doing what the culture does, youāll keep getting what the culture gets:
š Early disease
š© Hormonal chaos
š¤ Constant fatigue
š Emotional instability
We donāt need another supplement. We need repentance. Realignment. And action rooted in truth.
